Two separate department auctions - Main Auction and Rack Department Auction: Main Auction items are bundled and auctioned by the cart or individually (large items that do not sell in Goodwill's thrift stores). Held in the south building and in a tent under the billboard. 
Rack Department Auction are unsold textiles (clothing and other textiles) auctioned off by the cart in the upper level of the Rack Department in the east building.

County’s Public Administrator’s Auction
August 15 and Nov. 21
If you’ve never been to the County of San Diego’s Public Administrator’s Auction, you should definitely check it out. Plenty of furniture, household items, vehicles, TV’s, knickknacks, collectibles and more.
Vehicles preview is held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the Friday prior. Registration day of event 8 a.m. You need a bidding card ($25 refundable deposit). Vehicle auction is held at 8:30 a.m. followed by furniture/outdoor items (around 9 a.m.) and finally jewelry/collectibles (around 11 a.m.)

The Police Department holds public auctions on a regular basis throughout the year. Merchandise sold is either unclaimed or items for which the Police Department has been unable to locate an owner. Viewing is from 9 to 10 a.m. on the day of the sale and auctions begin at 10 a.m., except for July 23 (viewing is at 7:30 a.m. and auction begins at 8:30 a.m.)All merchandise is as is, with no warranty. Online Police Auctions
If you don’t want to leave your house, you can now bid on Police merchandise on the computer. The Police Department is trying a new system for online auctions - www.propertyroom.com. (This is in addition to their regular Police auctions.) The majority of items come from law enforcement agencies and other public municipalities. They also allow trusted merchants to sell items. The main downside is that the auction is extended if a bid gets placed in the last 3 minutes.
