Welcome to
BargainsInSanDiego.com
Your online source for great buys

Who doesn't love a good bargain. All over San Diego County are rummage sales, antique shops, pawn shops, estate sales, swap meets, thrift stores, retro/vintage shops and auctions chock full of great finds. You can find great prices on just about everything!

There is an art to bargain shopping; you have to know where the deals are and how to find them. We plan on on"digigng for deals" - bring together bargain hunters with great finds.

Bargain-hunting isn't only practical – it's chic. No longer is there a negative stigma to going into a thrift store; it's become a very cool and ultra-hip thing to do.

We will also list street fairs and festivals and other special events where you and your family can go out and have some fun - at little or no cost.

The Thrift Store page has finally been updated, so be sure to check it out! Since there are so many thrift stores in San Diego County, it's been divided into geographic areas - complete with thrift store listings and a map of the region!

We know how hard it is to find great prices on trade professionals, such as painters, gardners, handymen, etc., so we've expanded the site to list to include those that we think are a bargain.

This site is a work in progress, so check back regularly for updates - and be sure to check out the blog too!.

Tips on getting
a better bargain on Ebay

While getting a bargain on Ebay is more difficult than it used to, it’s not impossible. Here are a few tips to help you get a better bargain on Ebay:

1. Firstly check on price comparison sites like
PriceRunner, Froogle and Kelkoo to see how much you can get for your item. Items are not always cheaper on Ebay, so ensure that you are not overbidding then what you see on the price comparison sites.

2. Then visit Auction Bloopers visit
and type in your search criteria. This site helps you find the misspelled items on Ebay with the idea that misspellings will be missed by the most buyers.

3. Of the ones you find, see if you can find those auctions that finish in the wee hours of the morning (such as 4 or 5 a.m.) when people are sleeping (less competition). However, if there is something that you must have, you can use a site like
Auction Sniper. This site allows you to bid on an item you want at the very last moment without you being there.
